Game 5 of the World Series between the Yankees and Phillies just ended and we have the score results ready to go.
The Phillies captured game 5 of the World Series over the Yankees by a final score of 8-6. The Yankees made a huge rally in the last two innings but three 8th inning runs and a score in the top of the 9th was not enough to hold off the Phillies and we’ll head back to the Bronx for game 6.

Johnny Damon reached and stole 2nd with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th but Mark Texeira was unable to produce a score and struck out to end game 5 of the World Series.
The Yankees put up a score in the top of the 1st before the Phillies answered with a 3-run homer from Chase Utley who later went on to add another 1-HR score in the 7th. Alex Rodriguez continued his October heater by knocking in the first score as well as 2 more later in the game.
