MLB rumors are flying around right now that former Angels’ player Vladimir Guerrero will be signing with the Texas Rangers.
Jim Bowden of Sirius XM Radio has said that a “source close to” Vladimir Guerrero is informing him that the former Los Angeles Angel has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Texas Rangers. The Vladimir Guerrero/Texas Rangers rumors are nothing new, but this is the first we’ve heard about a deal actually being agreed upon.
Vladimir Guerrero will be the primary designated hitter for the Texas Rangers this season and should have a huge year if the rumors prove true. Guerrero has hit for .394 with a ton of power during his games in Texas and the aging player should see a huge rejuvenation in his statistics. Vladimir’s .295 average last season was his lowest since his rookie year (.185 over 27 at-bats). Guerrero’s 15 home runs were also his lowest total since his 2nd year in MLB baseball.
