Fedor Emelianenko vs Brett Rogers Strikeforce Picks:
Fedor comes in as a -550 favorite on the MMA betting odds and you’ll want to take that price. Rogers presents nothing that Fedor has not seen before and this fight should hit the ground quickly where the champ shows why he’s considered the best in the world.
Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs Jake Shields Strikeforce Picks:
Shields is the favorite but Miller presents an interesting challenge for him on the ground. Both guys are excellent at jiu jitsu but Shields is on another level with his Caesar Gracie training and should be able to eventually get in a spot where he can tap out “Mayhem”.
Gegard Mousasi vs Rameau Theirry Sokoudjou Strikeforce Picks:
Sokoudjou is a powerful puncher who has a great judo background but Mousasi is too technical on the feet and too slick on the ground. I’d make my Strikeforce betting picks on Mousasi getting a submission after some ground and pound.
Antonio Silva vs Fabricio Werdum Strikeforce Picks:
This could be the best of the CBS fights and both guys are solid no matter where the fight goes. Silva’s bread and butter is on the ground and Werdum is world class at submissions so you have to take the better ground fighter and that is Fabricio.
