There is still some in-depth handicapping to be done on the UFC 105 fight card but these are our picks on the fights as of now.

Randy “The Natural” Couture against Brandon “The Truth” Vera is the main event of the UFC 105 fight card and this Spike-televised free event has some great picks when you take a close look at the UFC betting odds.

Couture comes in as a -130 favorite on the odds at BoDog Sportsbook and this is where we are going to be with our picks on the main event.  Vera has excellent Muay Thai striking but he lacks knockout power and that will allow Couture to get in close and work for the takedown.  Vera’s ground game is good but Couture is a savvy veteran who will keep himself in a good spot and we are making our picks on the old man in the UFC 105 main event.

Other fights at UFC 105 have Denis Kang squaring off against Michael “The Count” Bisping and Mike “Quick” Swick taking on Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy and we are fairly certain what way we are going with these picks as well before the fight card gets underway this upcoming Saturday.

Kang is a tick better at every aspect of the fight game and he’s only -130.  Bisping has very nice technical striking but doesn’t knock many people out since he stays away from power strikes and I think Kang can outpoint him in the standup and submit him if it goes to the ground.  This is one fight on the UFC 105 card where I think the favorite should be in the -180 range or so.

The last of the 3 fights on the UFC 105 fight card that we will look at it Swick favored at -210 over Hardy.  Hardy is a power puncher with a great chin while Swick is better-rounded but has been knocked out by a similar fighter in Chris Leben.  Hardy will be fighting in his native England and I’d take him as the last of our 3 UFC 105 picks on the card.
