Krzysztof Soszynski and Stephan Bonnar will rematch tonight and we’ll help you make a prediction when you bet on UFC 116.
Making a bet on the UFC 116 fight between Ultimate Fighter Season 1 runner-up Stephan Bonnar and Ultimate Fighter Season 8 competitor Krzysztof Soszynski is a bit of a tough one to make after the betting odds were adjusted after their first fight. They originally fought on February 10th, 2010 at UFC 110 and the TKO (Stoppage) victory by Soszynski was disputed because of the fact that the cut on Bonnar was opened up by an accidental head butt that was not witnessed by the referee. Bonnar was likely losing on the judge’s score cards when the stoppage occurred and it will be interesting to see if Krzysztof can repeat his striking advantage at UFC 116.
UFC 116 odds in the Bonnar vs Soszynski fight have the original winner as the -233 betting favorite at this time and Krzysztof has seen the majority of the betting action throughout the last two weeks if you trust the line movement.

UFC 116 betting predictions in the PPV fight between Krzysztof Soszynski and Stephan Bonnar are interesting because it’s tough to gauge what improvements and modifications were made to the individual game plans since the original fight took place.
Despite not getting the better of the exchanges in the first fight, I still think Stephan Bonnar’s striking and technicality outweigh that of Soszynski’s strength and power. If Bonnar has learned from the first fight and keeps his distance while avoiding getting pressed up against the cage than I think he has a great chance to get the decision win. Both guys are tough as nails and I don’t see a stoppage in the cards but Soszynski does have a chance to use his wrestling to win rounds if Bonnar gets a little sloppy.
All in all, my UFC 116 predictions will be on Bonnar as the fairly large underdog because of the fact that I see ways for him to win this fight and I don’t think Krzysztof deserves to be such a large favorite in a rematch against a wily veteran who has had time to make improvements.
One thing is for sure and that is the fact that I’m glad I don’t have to deal with spelling Krzysztof Soszynski’s name anymore. Cheers.
