Desert Party

Two stable mates from overseas have plenty of value on the Kentucky Derby betting odds with both capable of shocking the world.

Many are writing off both Saeed bin Suroor trained horses but Desert Party and Regal Ransom are live underdogs in this Kentucky Derby lineup despite poor showings in the past.

Both come in at roughly 20/1 but could keep up with the Kentucky Derby favorites while making this race a very interesting one after the final turn.

TheOnlinewire.com teamed up with our preferred online racebooks, Bodog Racebook and SBG Global Racebook to bring our readers the latest news and the best odds to bet on each of its three legs and on the 2009 edition of the Triple Crown.

Both Bodog Racebook and SBG Global Racebook provide horse wagering enthusiasts the highest wagering standards along with enticing promotions and sign up bonuses and financial safety.

Regal Ransom is coming off a first place finish at the United Arab Emirates Derby after defeating Desert Party in a race where both looked like they were capable of showing continued improvement in a very nice race from both horses.

Regal Ransom had 2nd place finishes in the two races prior with an 8th place finish at Santa Anita in 2008 scaring many off this improving horse.

Desert Party is in a similar situation with the 2nd place finish last time out with two 1st place finishes in the races prior before a poor 6th place finish at Saratoga that has blinded those looking for a great underdog in the Kentucky Derby lineup.

A huge reason to think these horses can stick with the Kentucky Derby favorites is their recent works at Churchill Downs on April 18th

Of the 28 horses that ran that day, Regal Ransom had the 4th time work while Desert Party was not far behind at #6.  If those times hold steady, these are two large underdogs who can shock the Kentucky Derby odds.

TheOnlinewire.com, in cooperation with Bodog Racebook and SBG Global Racebook, will provide daily updates, news and the latest odds on the Triple Crown 2009 and its individual legs starting with the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby on May 2nd.
