It’s time to release our picks and predictions on the UFC on Versus fight card as the start time of the event approaches.

The UFC on Versus main event will be the light heavyweight fight between Brandon “The Truth” Vera and Jon “Bones” Jones.  Jones comes in as a -210 favorite on the UFC betting odds for this event and is quite a bit overrated despite his impressive slaughtering of opponents recently.  He has impressive takedowns and his unconventional striking leaves many wondering what he’ll possibly do next.  Vera, however, is a veteran of the sport who has excellent technical striking to combine with a much underrated ground game.  Make your UFC on Versus picks and predictions on Brandon Vera.

Next up on the UFC on Versus fight card is the bout between Gabriel “Napao” Gonzaga and Junior “Cigano” Dos Santos.  “Cigano” is a -250 favorite right now and we are making our picks on Gonzaga because of how little time Dos Santos has seen in the limelight.  Gonzaga has an incredible ground game and is more than capable of pulling the submission.

The other two picks and predictions we recommend making on the UFC on Versus fight card tonight will be Cheick Kongo as a large favorite over Paul “The Headhunter” Buentello and James “The Sandman” Irvin over Alessio Sakara.  Kongo is the better striker going against a guy who doesn’t take his opponents down and Irvin is the more powerful puncher and kicker in a fight between two guys who also like to keep it standing.
