Scam bookmaker BetAfterBet is stiffing all its customers dragging the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority credibility to the ground.
“I requested a payout of 1331.25 GBP on 16th August, after a week went by and I didn't receive anything I began emailing and the response I got was that all payments were currently being done manually but I would be receiving my funds in a short while,” Says M.D., a very unhappy customer of scam bookmaker BetAfterBet.com.
“I sent more emails (approx 1 per week) with the same excuse being returned. The last 3 emails have not had a reply. Phone numbers would also not be provided by cs.” M.D. added.
Owned and operated by Bonobet Limited, scam bookmaker BetAfterBet is listed as Licensed Operators: Class 1 on 4 on the LGA web site.
The online bookmaker lured in several hundred punters offering matching bonuses up to £100 over the course of the past months.
Everything went fine until bettors started requesting payouts. Here is a typical string of lame and pathetic excuses used by BetAfterBet to stall payments:
M.D. requested his payout on September 14th 2009. “We have checked on your withdrawal and it is in order, pending to be processed. We have been informed by our accounts department that first time withdrawals are currently taking longer to process due to stricter internal account verification and security procedures. We have been advised that your withdrawal should be processed and paid out within the next 14 business days.” BetAfterBet customer service told him the same day.
Needless to say M.D. was still waiting on his payout 14 days after his original request. He once again contacted BetAfterBet to be told the following pathetic story.
"All withdrawals are currently processed manually, due to a technical and communication issue between our system and the third party processing systems. Further to that, most withdrawals currently are first time withdrawals, therefore, the process of the payouts includes not only an authorisation of the payout amount but also documentation verification and review of each account and the activity on it. This is due to stricter security procedures implemented for first time withdrawals. To further hinder the there was a larger than usual withdrawal activity over over the last two months, which created a substantial backlog with the verification and processing. That is why your payout has been delayed and not yet paid our. We have attempted to obtain a specific date for the payment of your withdrawal, however the accounts department have not advised us of one. All they have informed us is that they are working on clearing any delayed payments and this should be done in due course.”
Few more days go by and there’s still no trace of M.D.’s money. In the last communication between BetafterBet and the owed punter Ms. Jessica James told him that “We have not been provided with any new information by the accounts department, apart from what they already advised us of, that they are still working on the delay and backlog with the payouts and on clearing this out and bringing it up to date. Unfortunately, the accounts department do not communicate with customers directly, however we have forwarded your comments to their attention to stress on your dissatisfaction with the matter. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience with this matter.”
Several dozen bettors currently share M.D.’s misery. Despite the obvious BetAfterBet continues to operate as licensed operator, thus dragging LGA’s reputation to the ground.
It is simply unacceptable in this day and age that governmental licensing bodies such as the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta look elsewhere whilst those they are supposed to protect become prey to unscrupulous and fraudulent operators.
TheOnlinewire.com urges all owed punters owed to urgently contact the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta and ask them to immediately suspend Bonobet Ltd’s gaming license. LGA’s contact info is the following: Tel +356 21316590/1/3/4 Fax +356 21316599, Email info@lga.org.mt
