2011 Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic: Entries, Post Positions, & Odds

Breeders Cup Ladies Classic

It’s time to review post positions and odds for all of the 2011 Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic entries.

You’ll have to wait a little while to hear our horse racing predictions on the 2011 Breeders’ Cup races, but it is never too early to review the post positions, odds, and entries for the runners in Friday’s Ladies Classic.  Post time for the 2011 Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic is set for 7:30 PM ET and the race will be shown live on ESPN 2.  The 1 1/8-mile dirt race for 3-and-older fillies has a purse of $2,000,000 and will be run at Churchill Downs.

I also want to take a second to point out how much more of a payout you can get by betting online.  I’ve listed the 2011 Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classis entries below in order of their post positions.  The first set of Breeders’ Cup odds is what the Churchill Downs track has up, while the second set is what you can currently lock in at 5Dimes Sportsbook.  These guys are also offering a 50% cash bonus on top of your first deposit, and betting on the 2011 Breeders’ Cup races anywhere else just doesn’t make sense.

As you can see, with the exception of Ultra Blend, the Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic odds on all of the other entries are better online than at the track.  Once you throw that 50% bonus into the mix, the decision on where to bet on the Breeders’ Cup is a no-brainer.

Unrivaled Belle was the 2010 winner of the Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic, while Life Is Sweet won in 2009.  The great Zenyatta took home top honors in 2008, while Ginger Punch (2007) and Round Pond (2006) are other recent Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic winners.  William I. Mott was the trainer for last year’s winner and has race favorite Royal Delta as his entry this time around.  Mike E. Smith has been the jockey for Ladies Classic winners in 1995, 1997, 2002, and 2008, but is without a mount in 2011.
