2011 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup – Potential Entries:

Winter Memories – Has taken 1st in 4 of last 5 races, all on turf at a mile or longer.  Winter Memories finished 2nd in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf to More Than Real, another one of the potential entries here.

More Than Real – Has failed to finish better than 3rd in 3 tries since that Breeders’ Cup victory, losing to Winter Memories in both of her last 2.  More Than Real hasn’t seen much success since Garrett Gomez stopped being her jockey.

Summer Soiree – Del Mar Oaks winner has taken 1st on turf in her last two starts after racing on dirt and synthetics for her first 9 races.  This will be her first career run at Keeneland Park.

Nereid – 3rd place finisher in the Del Mar Oaks had reeled off 3 straight victories before that run, including a win in the American Oaks at Hollywood Park.  Sired by Rock Hard Ten, the 2nd place finisher in the 2004 Preakness Stakes.

Kathmanblu – Has raced at Keeneland Park twice, with her only turf run here resulting in a 1st in the 2010 Jessamine.  Form has to be questioned about missing the board in 3 of her last 4.

Together – Took 2nd in the First Lady at Keeneland last time out and hasn’t raced at more than a mile since a 5th place run in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.  She has finished 2nd 5 times in her career but is still looking for a victory.

Marketing Mix – Coming off 2 straight wins in the Pucker Up and the Wonder Where, Marketing Mix seems to be hitting her stride.  She broke her maiden at Keeneland on synthetic, and has won both of her career turf starts.
