Jon "Bones" Jones To Face Lyoto Machida at UFC 140

Jon “Bones” Jones will put his light heavyweight belt on the line against Lyoto Machida at UFC 140.
UFC President Dana White just confirmed the fight between Jon “Bones” Jones and Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida to be set for the main event at UFC 140, and this one figures to be a Fight of the Year candidate. Jones is fresh off destructive wins over elite talent like Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and Machida is next in line to take a crack at the man many believe could be the best fighter in the history of the sport.
White's Tweet: "Alright Toronto!!! Dec 10th UFC 140 tix go on sale next weekend and ur main event is Bones Jones vs Machida!!!"
Machida is coming off a superb knockout victory over former 2-division champion Randy Couture and is the former UFC light heavyweight champion. He suffered a controversial loss against Jackson after losing his belt to Rua, but many believe his karate and sumo blend is the perfect recipe for besting Jones.
Many assumed that Rashad Evans was going to get the title shot to finally settle his feud with Jones, but it appears that the top contender suffered an injury and would not be ready in time. Evans and Jones used to train together before a proposed fight between the pair split them, and their training camp at Team Jackson, apart.
