College Football Predictions: Baylor vs. Oklahoma St. Preview

Baylor Oklahoma State Football

Our Baylor vs. Oklahoma State preview will let you know if a college football upset is brewing in Saturday’s game.

The #4 Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-0) will try to keep their undefeated season going on Saturday against the Baylor Bears (4-2), and our score predictions will try to figure out how the college football game will play out.  The Baylor vs. Oklahoma State game has a start time of 3:30 PM ET and will be shown live on either ABC or ESPN2 (check your local listings).

Oklahoma State has advanced their record to 7-0 with victories over UL-Lafayette, Arizona, Tulsa, Texas A&M, Kansas, Texas, and Missouri, and the Cowboys have covered the point spread in all but 1 of their games.  Quarterback Brandon Weeden (2436 yards, 71.8%, 19 TD, 7 INT) leads an offense that averages 48.6 points per game on 387.4 passing and 161.1 rushing yards.  In other words, you probably are going to have to score a ton of points to beat Oklahoma State because it is nearly impossible to stop this offense.

Baylor pulled a big upset in their 50-48 opening-week win over TCU and then reeled off victories over Stephen Austin and Rice before losing 35-36 at Kansas State.  The Bears rebounded with a win over Iowa, only to put in a clunker in their last game against Texas A&M.  Baylor is coming off a bye week with extra time to prepare for Oklahoma State.  The Bears average 44.3 points per game while adding in 341.3 passing and 207.7 rushing yards each time out.  Quarterback Robert Griffin III (1950 yards, 78.1%, 22 TD, 2 INT) has been one of the top college football players in the nation and, like Oklahoma State, you better score a ton of points if you want to topple the Bears this year.

The home-team Cowboys are 14-point favorites according to the college football odds at 5Dimes Sportsbook, while the betting total is set high at 79 combined points.  Oklahoma State was a 55-28 winner in last year’s clash and has now won 5 straight games against Baylor while covering the point spread every time.  The favorite in the Baylor vs. Oklahoma State series has covered the point spread in 11 of the last 12 head-to-head meetings, while the under has been a winner in 3 of the last 4.  Bet on the Baylor vs. Oklahoma State game at 5Dimes Sportsbook and receive a 50% cash bonus just for using our link to get your account set-up!

Predictions here are easy for me to make since I firmly believe that Baylor will shock Oklahoma State despite their status as large underdogs.  The Bears have been exploited on defense by teams that can run the ball down their throat, and that simply isn’t what the pass-happy Cowboys are good at.  The Oklahoma State defense has given up 30 points to much lesser offenses than what Baylor brings to the table, and the college football world is going to be turned on its head as one of the premier teams goes down at home on Saturday.

Baylor vs. Oklahoma State Score Predictions:

Baylor 41

Oklahoma State 34
