The lockout is officially over and week 1 NFL odds have finally been released.
It was announced bright and early today that the NFL lockout has been lifted, so now it is time for us to go over the week 1 point spreads and totals now that the games will definitely be played. We’ll release our week 1 NFL betting picks a little closer to the start of the season which begins on September 8th in the game between the defending-Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints from Lambeau Field. The San Diego Chargers are the largest week 1 favorite according to the NFL betting odds, and the point spread there shows them at -9.5 over the Minnesota Vikings. The week 1 clash between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans has the highest total at 47, while the defensive-minded matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens is likely to be the lowest scoring with a total of only 37.
