OneFC Preview: Fight Card, Odds, & Predictions
Written by Jake Thompson

Let’s preview the introductory OneFC fight card and make some predictions on the best way to bet the odds.
There’s a new mixed martial arts promotion getting started this weekend and we’ll preview the upcoming OneFC fight card that will take place on September 3rd at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. One Fighting Championship is trying to be the biggest mixed martial arts organization in Asian history and they’ve attracted some big names to be on their first fight card.
Although the OneFC fight between former UFC contenders Phil Baroni and Yoshiuki Yoshida is sure to draw in many viewers, the main event here is a battle between URCC champion Eduard Folayang and former Heat FC champion A Sol Kwon. Other notable fighters on the OneFC fight card include Ultimate Fighter contestant Andy Wang and 2-time Jiu Jitsu world champion Gregor Gracie. Make sure to tune-in to Sherdog.com because they will be streaming the OneFC fight card live.
OneFC Fight Card:
Eduard Folayang vs. A Sol Kwon
Phil Baroni vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida
Mitch Chilson vs. Eric Kelly
Gregor Gracie vs. Seok Mo Kim
Andy Wang vs. Zorobabel Moreira
Radeem Rahman vs. Susovan Ghosh
Soo Chul Kim vs. Leandro Issa
Vuyisile Colossa vs. Ma Xing Yu
Daniel Mashamaite vs. Yodsanan Sityodtong
Yuan Chun Bo vs. Eddie Ng
OneFC Odds:
Eduard Folayang -350
A Sol Kwon +280
Phil Baroni -105
Yoshiyuki Yoshida -125
OneFC Predictions:
Eduard Folayang vs. A Sol Kwon
Folayang (9-1) is a Wushu champion that combines excellent striking with unconventional take downs and take down defense.. He’s tough but has lost rounds previously and still has some holes in his game that can be exploited. Kwon (17-6) is an experienced veteran that has become a very complete mixed martial artist after being known for his aggressive and often defensive-lacking striking style.
The favorite here has competed in high-level in tournaments that score points for takedowns and he’s not just a striker with a lack of ground skills. That being said, Kwon has a big experience edge in mixed martial arts and doesn’t deserve to be this big of a favorite. Although he’ll likely be outclassed on the feet, I think Kwon can do enough in other areas to get the decision win in a hard fought fight.
Phil Baroni vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida
Baroni (14-13) isn’t always the best fighter in the world but you can always bet on the “New York Bad Ass” being exciting while going for the knockout. Yoshida (12-6) is a well-rounded fighter with some power himself, but he’s also lost 4 of his last 6, including 3 by way of strikes. Baroni has lost 3 of 4 himself and has struggled with some of the heavier punchers he’s gone up against.
This is a tough fight to call and the OneFC odds point out that the sportsbooks couldn’t really elevate one guy way above the other either. These fighters have power and some chin issues when hit with big punches, and much of the call here will be whether or not Yoshida’s wrestling will be able to get past Baroni’s takedown defense. I think he’ll be able to dictate where the fight happens and I’ll call for a 3rd round TKO win for the small favorite in Yoshida.
