UFC on FOX 2 Preview: Card, Odds, & Predictions

It’s time to preview this weekend’s upcoming UFC on FOX 2 with predictions and a look at the fight card’s odds.

The UFC on FOX 2 fight card looks like an excellent one, and we’ll preview the odds before making predictions later in the article.  Anyone that has followed what we’ve done here on the website for any length of time realizes that mixed martial arts has been a massively profitable sport for us, and we hope that success will continue on the January 28th UFC on FOX 2 card.

There will be 3 fights shown on FOX, with Rashad Evans taking on Phil Davis, Chael Sonnen going up against Michael Bisping, and Demian Maia trying to fight off top prospect Chris Weidman.  Another 6 fights on the UFC on FOX 2 card will be shown live on Fuel TV, with Evan Dunham going up against Nik Lentz, heavyweights Mike Russow and John-Olav Einemo squaring off, exciting fighters Cub Swanson and George Roop doing battle, Charles Oliveira taking on Eric Wisely, Ultimate Fighter runner-up Michael Johnson going up against Shane Roller, and Joey Beltran matching up against Lavar Johnson in a fight that is sure to bring the fireworks.  The UFC on FOX 2 fight between Chris Camozzi and Dustin Jacoby is the only one that isn’t currently scheduled to be shown live on television.

Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis

UFC on FOX 2 Predictions – Evans win a decision by using his defensive wrestling and striking advantage.

Chael Sonnen vs. Michael Bisping

UFC on FOX 2 Predictions – Sonnen takes Bisping down at will en route to a dominant decision.

Chris Weidman vs. Demian Maia

UFC on FOX 2 Predictions – Weidman wins the exchanges while staying safe in top position to win a decision.

Evan Dunham vs. Nik Lentz

UFC on FOX 2 Predictions – Lentz can give Dunham issues here, but ultimately he’ll eat a shot which leads to a 2nd round TKO.

Mike Russow vs. John-Olav Einemo

UFC on FOX 2 Predictions – Einemo will give Russow problems everywhere and the underdog will win by a 2nd round submission.

Cub Swanson vs. George Roop

UFC on FOX 2 Predictions – These guys are gamers but I consider Swanson to be the more well-rounded fighter and he’ll get the 3rd round submission.

Charles Oliveira vs. Eric Wisely

UFC on FOX 2 Predictions – Wisely is a huge underdog but I think he can use his striking advantage to pull the upset in the very first round.
