The Jets opened as favorites on the NFL lines for their Week 2 preseason game against the New York Giants on Saturday night.

NFL preseason lines have the Jets favored by 1 point over the Giants, with Mark Sanchez and Co. coming off a 17-6 road loss against the Cincinnati Bengals in their first exhibition action last week.

 

Week 2 of the preseason got underway with two games on Thursday the Bengals against Atlanta and the Packers against the Browns.

 

The 4.5-point road underdogs Bengals beat Atlanta 24 – 19. In the second Thursday’s game home favorites Packers lost 35 -10 to Cleveland.

 

There are six games on the board for Friday, including the Saints as huge 6.5-point home favorites against the Jaguars.

 

Saturday’s board features six more games, included the awaited clash Giants/Jets. The Jets' trio of quarterbacks completed only 12 passes in that defeat, four apiece for each of Sanchez, Tim Tebow and third-stringer Greg McElroy. Tebow rushed for 34 yards in the game to go along with his 27 passing yards.

 

The Giants' offense, on the other hand, was productive in their 32-31 road loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, as David Carr threw a pair of TD passes and Ryan Perrilloux found the end zone once on the day. Eli Manning went 4-of-8 for 60 yards in the contest.

On Sunday Andrew Luck and the Colts will be in Pittsburgh as a 4 point road underdog against the Steelers.

 

New England, currently 3-point home favorites against the Eagles in this week’s NFL lines, will end Week 2 NFL preseason on Monday night.
